Why I Started Likewise
Like many couples, my partner and I would often say we wanted to spend more quality time together, try new things, and make more memories.The problem wasn't that there was nothing to do.The problem was deciding what to do.We'd spend ages searching websites, scrolling through lists, reading recommendations, and comparing options. Even when we tried to plan things together, it often ended up falling on one person to do most of the searching, organising, and decision-making.What should have felt exciting sometimes felt like another item on the to-do list.The more choices there were, the harder it became to make a decision. We'd go back and forth, save ideas for later, and sometimes end up doing the same thing we'd done countless times before, or not doing anything at all.I realised we were spending so much time planning experiences that we weren't actually having them.That's where the idea for Likewise came from.I wanted a simple way for couples to discover meaningful date experiences based on their interests, budget, location, and mood, without the endless searching, planning, and decision fatigue.The goal isn't just to help people find somewhere to go.It's to help people spend less time planning and more time making memories together.Likewise is being built to make great experiences easier to discover, so couples can focus on what really matters: enjoying time together.
